Since the past few days, Nubia’s Red Magic division has been posting teasers on its Weibo account around the key features of the upcoming Red Magic 2 gaming smartphone. Nubia will be holding a launch event on October 31 to announce the Nubia X dual screen smartphone, but it is yet to reveal launch date for Red Magic 2 smartphone. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has confirmed that it will begin the sales of the Red Magic 2 gaming phone through a crowdfunding campaign on China’s Jingdong Mall starting November 6.
The Red Magic 2 gaming smartphone will be fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The 10GB RAM variant of the smartphone will be equipped with a native storage of 256GB. These specs are on par with the recently announced Xiaomi Black Shark Helo. The Red Magic 2 will be arriving as the successor to the original Red Magic smartphone that was unveiled in April this year.
The Red Magic 2 will be equipped with air and liquid dual-cooling systems for keeping the internal temperature under the control while enjoying high-end games on it. For top-notch gaming experience, the smartphone will be offering features like 4D shock, and DTS 7.1 3D Surround Sound. The frame touch technology on the device will carry support for 4-finger operation for gaming. For comprehensive gaming experience, the smartphone will also come preinstalled with a dedicated gaming space.
The rest of the specifications of the Red Magic 2 smartphone are still under the wraps. It is rumored to feature a single camera on its rear, and it also expected to feature LED lights on its rear. Rumors are rife that the 8GB RAM edition of the smartphone may carry a price tag of RMB 3,099, which converts to Rs 32,700 as per the current exchange rates.
Since the crowdfunding of Red Magic 2 will begin on November 6, its unveiling may not be far away. There is no confirmation on whether the company will be announcing it alongside the Nubia X smartphone on October 31.
