Having seen massive success with the first two sales, Amazon India is all set to bring its ‘Great Indian Festival’ promotion back for the third time. The e-commerce major recently announced that phase three of the sale will kick off on November 2 and wrap up on November 5, just before Diwali. Now, even though there will be exciting deals and offers regarding just about every product available on Amazon India, smartphones are quite likely to attract most prospective buyers. In anticipation of the same, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced discounts for its Honor 8X and Honor Play smartphones. Here are all the details.
Honor 8X: Features and details about offers
Launched recently, Honor 8X features a huge 6.5-inch FullHD+ notched display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Powering the smartphone (or phablet) is Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, comprised of an octa-core CPU. Honor 8X runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with EMUI 8.2 baked on top. For imaging, the smartphone has a dual-camera system at the back, comprised of a 20-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. Up front, there’s a 16-megapixel selfie sensor. All standard connectivity options are there, with a 3,750mAh battery rounding off the spec sheet.
Honor 8X is available in two configurations – 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/64GB storage – priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively. During Amazon’s ‘Great Indian Festival’ sale, HDFC Bank credit/debit card holders will get an instant discount of 10-percent on those prices. Furthermore, there will be 10-percent cashback offer through Amazon Pay.

Launched around two months back, the gaming-centric Honor Play is powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Up front, the smartphone has a 6.3-inch FullHD+ notched display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. For imaging, Honor Play has a dual-camera system at the back, comprised of a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. There’s also a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. From 802.11a/b/g/n/ac to USB Type-C, the Honor Play has all modern connectivity options, with a 3,750mAh battery backing up the entire package. The smartphone features Huawei’s ‘GPU Turbo’ technology for an enhanced gaming experience.

The 4GB RAM/64GB variant of Honor Play will be available at a discounted price of Rs 17,999 during Amazon’s ‘Great Indian Festival’ sale. As far as the 6GB RAM/64GB variant is concerned, there’s no discount on its original price of Rs 23,999. However, customers can get up to Rs 3,000 off by exchanging their old smartphone.
