ZTE’s Nubia at an event in China today launched its much-anticipated flagship Nubia X smartphone with edge-to-edge display. The handset boasts of no-notch display with 93.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and interestingly there is no front-facing camera. But there’s more, the big highlight of the Nubia X is its secondary 5.1-inch HD+ AMOLED screen at the back which blends into the glass body.
For photography, Nubia has only provided dual-rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel f/1.8 aperture primary sensor and a 24-megapixel f/1.7 aperture secondary sensor with LED flash. In order to take selfies, you can use the same secondary 5.1-inch display at the back.
Nubia X: Price and Availability
The Nubia X prices in China start from RMB 3,299 (approximately Rs 33,000) for the base 6GB RAM variant. The top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at RMB 4,299 (approximately Rs 43,000). It will be available for pre-order starting today and goes on sale in China on November 5.
Nubia X: Specifications and Features
The Nubia X comes with two displays – a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) primary display with an aspect ratio of 19:9, while on the rear it flaunts a 5.1-inch HD+ OLED touchscreen. Apparently, you can use both displays simultaneously such that whatever is visible on the front panel can also be seen on the back when you switch it over.
Nubia has removed front-facing camera to achieve a 93.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Internally, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. For security, Nubia has included a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right edge.
There is a 3,800mAh battery onboard with NeoPower 3.0 fast charging support. The Nubia X comes pre-loaded with nubia UI 6.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
