Huawei Mate 20 Pro with fast wireless charger to launch in India next month

Earlier this month, Huawei launched the Mate 20-series smartphones at an event in London, along with a bunch of other products. The highlight of Mate 20 series smartphone is the triple-camera setup at the back, and fast wireless charging feature. Samsung’s flagship Galaxy smartphones have always featured fast wireless charging, but realistically it isn’t as fast as wired charging. Huawei’s implementation, on the other hand, is faster than other smartphone makers.

Huawei is all set to launch the Mate 20 Pro smartphone in India sometime in November, exclusively via Amazon India. The company also mentioned that it will be launching the fast wireless charger along with the smartphone. Most wireless chargers support 10W charging, but Huawei has upped the ante by offering 15W wireless charging.

Developed with Qi standard for universal compatibility, Huawei says a 10-minute charge can top up the battery from empty to 12 percent, whereas 30 minutes charging can top up the battery to 31 percent. Huawei also mentioned that the charger includes Safety Protection feature – if it detects objects like keys, coins or any other metal object, the charging will automatically power off. Even if fluctuation in temperature is detected, it will power off to avoid overheating.

Coming back to the Mate 20 Pro, the smartphone also comes with reverse wireless charging feature. It allows users to use the Mate 20 Pro as a powerbank to wirelessly charge other compatible devices.
