There’s no denying that PUBG Mobile is among the most popular games today, and for good reason. With over 100 million installs on the Google Play Store, the game’s popularity on the Android platform is established, and a lot of these users are from India. And this popularity is going beyond just user numbers, as the franchise is seeing some unique initiatives based on the game.
Apart from more conventional forms of publicity in the form of high-value tournaments and festive-themed in-game purchases for India, PUBG has also seen the opening of a restaurant themed around the game. And now, we’re also seeing images from a pre-wedding photoshoot of a couple based around the popular mobile game!
Shot in a studio before the wedding of a couple, the shoot by Impact Photography shows images themed around the popular game PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds. The shoot incorporates various elements of the game into the shoot, including the clothing, gear and weapons that are commonly seen in the game worn by various players. The appearance of PlayerUnknown has been adapted by the groom, while other elements such as the popular red-and-blue airdrop crate and grasslands of the Erangel map have been included in the set. The typical game interface including the on-screen buttons and infographics have also been added to the images.
While PUBG originated as a high-end game meant for Windows PCs, it gained serious popularity with the launch of its mobile versions, developed by China-based Tencent Games. Available as a free download on iOS and Android, the game is entirely free-to-play for all, with in-game purchases making up the revenue model. PUBG Mobile, along with Fortnite Mobile, are among the most popular mobile games today, with the former maintaining a dominant presence on the Android platform.
