The latest smartphones from Google, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL go on sale today in India, with prices starting from Rs 71,000. The phones were launched earlier in October and have been available for pre-order, but finally go on sale today. The new devices from Google are available to buy both online through Flipkart as well as offline through major retailers across the country.
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL sport largely the same specifications, although the larger device also sports a bigger notched display. And while the rear camera remains a 12-megapixel single-lens setup, the front gets a dual-camera setup with two 8-megapixel sensors. This enables better depth effect shots as well as wide-angle selfies. Both phones also come with stock Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are widely regarded as having the best camera on a smartphone today.
The Google Pixel 3 range also sees some launch offers, including no-cost EMI schemes starting at Rs 3,944 per month for 18 months, and additional five percent cashback on EMI with select bank cards. Apart from Flipkart, Croma and Reliance Digital, the Google Pixel 3 series will also be on sale at a wide range of authorized retail stores. Buyers in India will also get the Google Home Mini for free with their Google Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL purchase.
Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL specifications and features
With Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Google is finally embracing a taller display design. The Pixel 3 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Pixel 3 XL features a bigger 6.3-inch display with a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels, which is an 18.5:9 ratio display thanks to the notch and screen area beside it. The notch is a rather controversial matter since it is wider and deeper than what we have seen on other smartphones.
