Lenovo Z5 Pro live photos leaked a day before official launch; slider design confirmed

The past few weeks have seen a lot of leaks and rumors around Lenovo’s upcoming Z5 Pro smartphone. The flagship mobile device, which has a slider design (similar to Oppo Find X and Xiaomi Mi MIX 3), is expected to be officially launched tomorrow (November 1, 2018), at the company’s global headquarters in Beijing, China.

With just a day left for the unveiling, a fresh batch of Lenovo Z5 Pro’s real-life images has surfaced online. The images, shared on Chinese social networking website Weibo, show the smartphone from all sides and confirm the manual slider mechanism.

The rear panel of the smartphone, visible in one of the photos, shows the smartphone’s vertical dual-camera system, with an LED flash module just below that. It’s most likely consists of 24-megapixel sensor and a 16-megapixel sensor with AI enhancements, in line with a teaser that Lenovo’s group VP Chang Cheng recently posted on his official Weibo account.

Another photo shows a powered-up Lenovo Z5 Pro in its box, highlighting the almost bezel-free display. It also shows the smartphone running what appears to be ZUI 10, apparently the latest version of Lenovo’s custom Android overlay.

Thanks to previous leaks and rumors, we already have a fair idea of what to expect from Lenovo Z5 Pro in terms of hardware. The flagship smartphone will most certainly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It’s also expected to have a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ bezel-less display, with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
