About two weeks back, Asus expanded its smartphone line-up in India with the launch of two smartphones – Zenfone Lite (L1) and Zenfone Max (M1). However, even though both smartphones are entry-level devices, it seems Asus is quite committed to keep them supported with updates.
The Taiwanese technology major has started seeding a new over-the-air (OTA) update to the Zenfone Lite (L1). Bearing firmware identifier WW_Phone-15.07.1810.18-20181019, the update comes bundled with Android security patch for the month of October 2018. In addition, it comes with some general bug fixes and system improvements.
Like all OTA updates, this one is also being rolled out in batches, so it may take a while before all Zenfone Lite (L1) units get the update. If you happen to have the smartphone and want to check for the update manually, you can do so by heading to the software update section of the smartphone’s settings.
Talking about specifications, Zenfone Lite (L1) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. There’s also a dedicated expansion slot that can take up microSD cards of up to 512GB in capacity. The smartphone features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a resolution 720×1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio.
