It may be just a few months old, but Realme is already taking rivals head-on in the hugely-competitive Indian smartphone market. After launching the Realme 1 and Realme 2, the former Oppo subsidiary today launched the top-of-the-line Realme 2 Pro. But also sharing the stage today was a more affordable device, dubbed Realme C1.
Realme C1 pricing, availability
Priced at Rs 6,999, the entry-level smartphone will be taking on the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 6A, and Honor 7S. For the price, the C1 offers some pretty great specifications. The smartphone will be available starting October 11. It will be going on sale via Flipkart at 12:00PM.
Realme C1 specifications, features
As far as specifications are concerned, the Realme C1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The Realme C1 has a 6.2-inch HD+ notched display, making it the most affordable smartphone to come with the ‘feature’. It’s complemented by a unibody design and a glossy back panel, which further enhance the appearance of the smartphone. The Realme C1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Oppo’s ColorOS 5.1 UI overlay baked on top.
Realme’s new smartphone is no slouch when it comes to imaging either. It has a dual-camera system at the back, comprised of a 13-megapixel primary sensor, and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. Up front, you get a 5-megapixel AI-enhanced camera for selfies and video calls.
