Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 new image leaks shows Xiao AI settings, sliding camera

Xiaomi’s newest flagship, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is set to launch soon and the rumors about the phone is rife with speculations of a sliding display and inclusion of Xiao AI feature. And this new leak kind of confirms it. We have seen numerous leaks that talk about how the front camera of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be in the sliding form, but this new leak on Weibo that shows a GIF of how the phone sliding camera might work.

The two new images confirm what we have known about the design for a while now, but the still images has its edges blurred. This we believe is to protect the button placement on the smartphone. But the still image apparently shows the Xiao AI settings screen which seems to confirm the addition of the feature to the new smartphone. This page was leaks previously as well, and it brought some details with it. A single press on the Xiao AI button will apparently wake the phone and the rest of it will work the same way Samsung’s Bixby button does.

Users will be able to ask Xiao AI question by keeping the button pressed down, but unlike Samsung, Xiaomi is allowing users to customize the button mapping. Users will be able to select an action of their choice when pressing down on the Xiao AI button.

The GIF (check out here) demonstrates how the camera will slide out like the traditional sliding phones and in a rather smooth manner. We have seen a video that showed it doing similar action previously. This slider will bring out the front camera as well as the sensors of the phone, which means that if the phone does have a face unlock feature, the users will have to slide out the camera to use the function.
