OnePlus 6T official teaser hints at in-display fingerprint sensor

China-based smartphone maker OnePlus has just posted a new teaser on its official Twitter account hinting at a new upcoming feature. The company has started posting teasers and information about its much anticipated upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6T to generate hype before the launch. The teaser in question comes with a “hexagonal ‘T’ logo” for the OnePlus 6T and “almost certainly hints at” an in-display fingerprint scanner. The thing to note here is that this is not a new discovery as OnePlus has already confirmed that the device will come with this new technology. In addition to this, the company has also confirmed that the 6T will drop the headphone jack.

The teaser is part of a 5-second video clip that the company posted with the caption “OnePlus 6T. It’s coming”. It also comes with a slogan “Unlock The Future” flashing on the screen. This new teaser is not the only material that the company posted as it comes days after OnePlus released a television commercial in India starring Amitabh Bachchan to tease the arrival of OnePlus 6T.

As reported by GSMArena, the response to the teaser has been mixed with some people complaining about the missing headphone jack, some posting renders of that could be the final device while others are also excited about the upcoming device.

This teaser comes right after the company released OxygenOS 5.0.6 for the OnePlus 3 and 3T devices in the market with September Android security patch. The new update also comes with bug fixes and improvements in the software.

The company also announced the return of ‘The Lab’ giving its fans a chance to get the device early and share an ‘in-depth’ review with the community. Reports also hinted that the device will come with a 3,700mAh battery instead of the 3,300mAh one that we get in the OnePlus 6.
