With Android 9.0 Pie already running on Google, and Essential devices, manufacturers continue to work on bringing the latest version of Google’s operating system to their flagship devices. Brands such as Sony, HTC and OnePlus have already announced which of their phones will be updated to Android 9, while others have decided, for now, not to reveal their future plans.
That said, Huawei recently shared a list on its Chinese Customer Service Chat, confirming all the phones that will receive the update to Android 9.0 Pie. The brand also acknowledged that the deployment of Android 9.0 Pie Beta updates will begin today itself – August 28.

Initially, each of the above-listed models will only have 2,000 people signed up on the internal Beta testing program in China to give the developer feedback and report bugs. The company could however eventually expand the program to have more interested users beta testing the custom UI layered over Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei has not disclosed any information on when its other devices are slated to receive the Android 9.0 Pie update. In phase two, we can expect the company to roll out the update to some of its other more affordable devices like the Mate 10 Lite, Huawei P Smart+ (Nova 3i), Honor 7X, Honor 9 Lite, and Huawei P20 lite to name a few.
