Apple iPhone XS images leak out on the internet confirming the design, larger version and a new gold color

Apple is planning to launch its much anticipated iPhone 2018 lineup at a launch event on September 12. The company has started sending out the event invites to the media. The company is expected to launch three iPhone devices at its hardware launch event along with updates to the existing hardware portfolio including a new Apple Watch, MacBook, and possibly a new MacBook Air. However, weeks before the launch event, it looks like one of the iPhone devices has leaked out on the internet. 9to5Mac posted a new image of the upcoming iPhone XS.

The report notes that the image posted is not a mockup and it appears to be from the promotional material that Apple uses. Taking a closer look at the iPhone XS in the image, the render appears to confirm the 5.8-inch and the 6.5-inch display sizes of the iPhone. The image also confirms a new gold color that the company will introduce with the launch of the 2018 iPhone lineup. The report points out that Apple did leak the different gold-colored variant of the iPhone X through an FCC listing but it did not end up putting the device on sale.

Watch: Apple iOS 12 features

The leaked render of the device seems to have confirmed the iPhone XS name of the device. The report notes that it is likely that Apple will release the iPhone XS for sale in the market by the end of September. Apple has not issued a statement about the leak.

The interesting thing to note here is that this is not the only thing that leaked out on the internet. The report also noted that the new Apple Watch Series 4 has also leaked out on the internet. The leak confirms that the Watch will come with a larger display with a reduced size of bezels.
