Realme 2 at Rs 8,240 in first sale; here’s how you can get the offer

The Realme 2 is all set to go on sale on September 4 for the first time on Flipkart. While the original price of the phone is still Rs 8,990, You have chance to get it for Rs 8,240 under the HDFC Bank Credit / Debit card offer.

Consumers looking to purchase the Realme 2 in first flash sale can avail of a flat discount of Rs 750 if they make full payment through HDFC Bank Credit/Debit cards, which will make the effective price of the Realme 2 base variant 3GB+32GB to Rs 8,240, while the 4GB model price will come down to Rs 10,240 from Rs 10,990.

The offer is also valid on the ‘No-Cost EMI’ option, but in the form of a cashback which will be credited later to the account. The offer is not valid on HDFC Internet Banking. Other than that, the Realme 2 on Flipkart will also get the Jio instant cashback offer of Rs 2200 along with partner vouchers of worth Rs 2000 while booking flight tickets through Paytm or making a purchase on Lenskart.

Realme 2 specifications and features

The Realme 2 flaunts a 6.2-inch HD+ notch display that runs at a resolution of 720x1520pixels, and a pixel density of 271ppi. The display also comes with a notch on top, giving it an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood is a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz. As mentioned above, the chipset is paired with 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage options. A dedicated microSD card slot is also present for further expansion.

In the photography department, Realme 2 gets a dual-camera setup at the back, which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, and a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor. The second sensor helps in adding DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. Up front, you get an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

The 4320mAh battery on Realme 2 is bigger than the one on the Realme 1. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro-USB port for data transfer and charging. On the software front, the smartphone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo and ColorOS UI on top.
