Meizu 16X has received a TENAA certification with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC

Meizu revealed its newest smartphones, the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus last month. Following the launch, Meizu CEO Jack Wong declared that the company would also be introducing a more budget-friendly device that will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. Now we seem to have our first look of the device with it appearing on the Chinese certification website TENAA with a model number M872Q, along with images of the front and back of the device, and its specs.

The assumption that this model number actually denotes the Meizu 16X is based on the fact that the Meizu 16 Plus had appeared with the model number M892Q and Meizu 16 had appeared with the model number M882Q. As for the chipset, it is assumed that this is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 because it is the only current-generation Qualcomm chipset that has a clock speed of 2.2GHz on the processor.

The TENAA certification page reveals that the new Meizu phone is set to come with a 6-inch Full HD+ display that uses AMOLED technology. Besides this it seems like Meizu is sticking to its guns and avoiding notches, and going with bezels like it has done for all its phones up until now.

Besides the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, the Meizu 16X seems to feature 6GB RAM along with 64GB internal storage, and no hints on whether it will feature expandable storage. In the camera department, the Meizu 16X seems to feature a dual-rear camera setup on the back with 20 megapixel + 12 megapixel sensors and a 20 megapixel front camera sensor.
