Lenovo made a number of announcements at its IFA 2018 event last night, and today, it is time for the company’s sub-brand, Motorola. As expected, Motorola has announced two new smartphones running on Google’s Android One program. Called Motorola One and Motorola One Power, both smartphones come with a notched display and dual-camera setups at the back. Here everything you need to know about the new Motorola One-series smartphones.
Motorola One, Motorola One Power price, availability
Both smartphones will make it to Indian shores sometime in October this year. The Motorola One Power is an India-exclusive device, and will be priced around Rs 16,000, whereas the Motorola One will be priced around Rs 14,000. It will compete with the likes of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Nokia 6.1 Plus, among others.

Motorola One, Motorola One Power specifications and features
Talking about specifications, the Motorola One comes with a 5.9-inch HD+ display with a notch and aspect ratio of 19:9. The One Power, on the other hand, comes with a slightly larger 6.2-inch full-HD+ display with a notch, and 19:9 aspect ratio. While the Motorola One is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with octa-core CPU, the One Power has a Snapdragon 636 SoC with an octa-core CPU under the hood. Both smartphones come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
In the photography department, both smartphones come with a dual-camera setup at the back. The Motorola One has a 13-megapixel primary sensor supplemented with a 2-megapixel depth sensor to help you add bokeh effects to your photos. The One Power, on the other hand, comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor backed with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Up front, both smartphones come with an 8-megapixel camera selfie snapper with portrait mode.
To keep things ticking, the Motorola One comes with a 3,000mAh battery, whereas the One Power comes with 5,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS. In the software department, the smartphones run on Android 8.1 Oreo, and will be updated to Android 9 Pie OS in the coming months.
