BSNL revises FTTH broadband plans, now offers up to 3.5TB data

BSNL has revised its four of Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband plans to offer up to 3.5TB of FUP limit. According to TelecomTalk, the state-run telecom operator has increased the download speed as well as FUP limit on its FTTH plans. These plan starts from Rs 3,999 and goes all the way up to Rs 16,999.

Starting today (September 1), BSNL consumers using FTTH plans of Rs 3,999, Rs 5,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 16,999 across India will get extra speed along with revised monthly data FUP (Fair Usage Policy) limit.

Now with Rs 3,999 FTTH plan, BSNL will give you download increased speeds to 60Mbps, and the FUP limit to 750GB. Previously, the plan offered up to 50Mbps of speeds until 500GB. The Rs 5,999 FTTH plan from BSNL now has 70 Mbps speeds up to 1250GB, thereafter the speed will get decreased to 6 Mbps. The revised Rs 9,999 plan will now have 100Mbps speeds up to 2250GB along with 8 Mbps after FUP.

The best FUP limit of 3.5TB data comes with the most expensive plan of Rs 16,999. The plan gives up to 100 Mbps of download speeds. The same plan earlier had 100 Mbps speeds up to 3TB.

Now, with JioGigaFiber set to arrive soon, BSNL refreshed many of its broadband plans yesterday. The revised entry-level BB249 plan now offers 15GB of FUP data allowance, which is three times more than what it used to offer before. After that, the speed is reduced to 1Mbps, with no caps on downloads/usage. In addition, the plan also offers unlimited voice calls to other networks from 10:30PM to 06:00AM, on all days.

It’s worth noting that the BB249 plan is available with an (optional) yearly rental facility. The change will be effective throughout the country (in all the circles where the plan is available) from September 1.
