Google is planning a new feature that will further enhance the search experience. The Sundar Pichai-led company is working on a new feature that will allow users to leave comments on search results. The details regarding this upcoming new feature was revealed in an official Google help document. The document explains how users can leave comments and read comments from others on search results.
There will also be a page dedicated to comments within the search contributions section of users’ Google profiles, reveals the help document. According to this page spotted by Search Engine Journal, Google will allow users to add comments to sport games while they are happening live.

“You can leave comments on things you’ve searched for on Google,” the official Google help page describes the new feature. The listing does indicate that Google intends to roll out the feature sooner and users will be able to comment on additional content as well. Comments are not yet live in Google search results but it is clear that the feature is in development but it is likely to be available in the near future.
How comments on Google search will work
Step 1: Go to Google.com or open the Google app on your smartphone
Step 2: Do a search like you do now
Step 3: In the overview box, click on the “More” option
Step 4: Tap or click Comments and then viewers
Step 5: Tap or click on “Add a public comment” option
Step 6: Now enter your comment

Google Search Comment Feature: Things to know
Google Search support document notes that comments cannot be left anonymously and users will have to be logged into their Google account. It will be possible for users to delete comments after they publish them. All the comments left by others can be read by users and there will be an option to rate them with ‘like’ and ‘dislike’ button.
Yes, you are thinking right, Google seems to be building a social media of sorts within search results. The feature will be interesting from the point of view of an user and it will be interesting to see how it evolves when a number of users comment on these search results.
